Spring 2025
Adult Academy Classes
NOW ENROLLING!
Ballet 201
ABT level 2 curriculum focused on turnout control and ballet theory.
This level is best suited for Advanced Beginner Dancers.
*2 time options available. Yes, you can take both if you want
Ballet 301
ABT level 3 curriculum focused on use of turn out in center, coordination of port de bra, and learning new center steps.
This level is best suited for Intermediate Adult Dancers.
*201 is required prior to enrollment in 301 unless given permission by an instructor
Repertoire
Learn some of the most iconic variations from classical ballets.
This spring we will be doing:

Cinderella

ELECTIVES
Rise
Focused on building flexibility and strength in the feet, ankles and core this is a great class for improving your dance technique and a requirement for our pointe class.
Exercises are given to do at home and each group of students progresses together as a group.
Rise 1 = new group starting in
January 2025. *8 spots only
Rise 2 = the group that completed Rise 1 in Fall 2024.
Pointe
Coming in Spring B!
Following Aubrey's own unique and proven Beginning Pointe curriculum, this class is designed for adults new to pointe or returning to pointe after a long break.
*You must have taken Rise 1 and be enrolled in Rise 2.
Performance
NOVA produces story based shows twice a year. Performance classes are open to dancers of all ability levels and it is a great way to grow as an artist and build life long friendships!
Our Spring Show will be
"Sing and Swing"

Program
NOVA's Adult Academy exists to provide consistency, community and connection, empowering adult dancers and challenging them to grow in their technical abilities and with others who love to dance!
At NOVA we have infused our class plans with all the latest research from ABT, the Harkness Center, and Lisa Howell's Curriculum to equip our students as lifelong dancers and confident human beings. The electives listed are optional, but highly recommended, and oh so fun!
New students looking to enroll in our Adult Academy are highly encouraged to explore our Open Adult classes first and then connect with one of our instructors after class for placement.
